If you’re used to seeing a doctor in person, it can feel weird to do a video visit or have a text conversation instead. But virtual visits (also known as telehealth or telemedicine) can be a great choice for safe, convenient, and complete care.
If you’re used to seeing a doctor in person, it can feel weird to do a video visit or have a text conversation instead. But virtual visits (also known as telehealth or telemedicine) can be a great choice for safe, convenient, and complete care.
Sometimes, virtual visits can actually be the safest option by allowing you to get care faster. You never have to sit around a crowded waiting room or wait weeks to talk to a doctor. In fact, you don’t even have to wait until morning; a lot of virtual providers (including Caraway) let you access care 24/7.
Virtual providers are also specially trained to ask you the right questions in a chat or a video visit, allowing them to make the right assessment and treatment plan. If that plan includes medication, they can send a prescription to your pharmacy of choice. If needed, they can even order lab tests that you can complete at a local clinic or at home.
And virtual providers are bound by the same privacy rules as any in-person provider, so your visit is always totally secure. If you need to see a doctor, a virtual visit is a great option – and you don’t even have to get out of bed to do it.
