Our students go to college to learn to flourish independently, but when they get sick, all bets are off. A Caraway membership gives them the care they need to thrive 24/7 – from access to a doctor when they wake up sick at night to reliable mental health support – all delivered by experienced clinicians.
Our healthcare services are designed for women and individuals who were assigned female at birth. We will provide care for everyone who joins Caraway, regardless of gender. We value diversity, equity and inclusion and do not tolerate racism, sexism, queer-phobia, hateful language, or intolerance of any kind.
Caraway members have 24/7 access to the Care Team, a group of licensed nurses, doctors, and therapists with Gen Z expertise. The Care Team collaborates across physical, mental, and reproductive health services, so Caraway members are never left to connect the dots on their own.

With our mobile app, students have instant access to care via chat or on-demand phone and video visits. They can connect with a clinician to get answers immediately, avoiding the all-too-common health anxiety spiral. When students need in-person services, our Care Team will make referrals and help with coordination.

Even when you’re already paying for healthcare, there are frustrating challenges. Lack of availability at student health centers, holes in insurance coverage, and distance of family doctors can make it feel impossible to get your student the care they need when they need it. Caraway offers trusted, comprehensive care, all in one place and without the wait.
All of Caraway’s services are covered by your membership fee, so your student is free to get all the care they need, and ask questions big and small, without you having to worry about a surprise bill.
For a limited time only, we’re offering annual membership for less per month than a single urgent care co-pay.

Caraway can complement student health services by providing comprehensive 24/7 care when student health may be busy or closed (i.e. weekends, evenings). Our care team can decrease your student’s wait time for an appointment and increase the accessibility of educational resources as your student navigates life away from home. Furthermore, our care model provides mental, physical and reproductive healthcare, and we know that addressing these needs simultaneously improves short and long term outcomes. One of our goals is to uncover diagnoses early and set the course for lifelong healthcare habits and overall well being.
There are currently no additional costs from Caraway. If you have insurance, it may require copays for prescriptions, labs or in-person care. Your Caraway Health Advisor will work with your student to understand their benefits.
Since the start of the COVID pandemic, telehealth (virtual care) has been increasingly used across many disciplines and has proven to be safe and effective. Telehealth can be used by qualified healthcare providers to assess and manage many common complaints, including a majority of health concerns for 18-27 year olds. As a flexible option for communication, telehealth can lead to better health outcomes by increasing timely access to care, and helping patients avoid long wait times in crowded clinical spaces.
Our medical team is experienced with both in-person and virtual care, and follows evidence-based clinical guidelines for providing care. They are sensitive to times when in-person care is necessary or more appropriate, and will not hesitate to make referrals. Our health advisors will then work with members to identify the most convenient and appropriate options for in-person care, and our Care Team will follow up afterward to make sure the member has gotten the evaluation and support they need.
We can do both. The Caraway Care Team can assess and treat most common primary care concerns. For those services we are not able to provide remotely, we will offer referrals and care navigation. If you have an established primary care doctor, we are happy to coordinate with them to ensure that your care history remains up-to-date and accurate. This may be particularly important during school breaks to maintain continuity of care. By optionally consenting to the Health Information Exchange Consent (HIE) when signing up or in the Privacy Policies section of the app, Caraway members can give our Care Team permission to receive and share your medical records with your external providers.
